Ok we have all been playing BF4 in BETA or now in the new released format. What does everyone think? Pro's and Con's. I feel that the game connection issues are starting to resolve themselves slowly and should soon be a thing of the past. I do think that the weapons should be set up like they were for BF3 where Russians had standard Russian weapons and vice versa for the Americans. I also like how they broke down achievements, unlocks, battle packs and promotions into different categories. It's kind of like a Christmas present when you unlock something and not know what's inside but chances are you will still like it. So far the only unlock I do not like is the XM25 SMOKE.....HATED IT!! Really EA? It makes a small cloud of smoke and you can still see through it. I'd do more obstruction of view by poking my fingers in the other guys eyes. I feel the pistol rank ups are a tad slow and the pistols seem to be underpowered. The miniguns/chain gun/heavy machineguns hits need to be upped. I get really irritated when I have a guy dead to rights with the minigun/chain gun/heavy MG and he is running at me with hit markers galore showing up and he may actually get a shot or two off before dying. It may not sound like much but what if he is an Engineer with a rocket launcher? He dies and your going to if he gets that shot off. The claymores have been revamped to have 3 trip wires shoot out and they STAY IN PLACE AFTER YOU DIE!!!!Tanks need to be boresited better as the round hits way low of where the reticle actually is. I am really getting into sniping now. Even though the long distance shots are harder to make because I cannot judge the bullet drop just yet. The U100 starting off was a real pain in the butt but it slowly grows on you if you stick with it. Counter knifing is awesome and it gives you a chance to turn the tables on your attacker if you get shanked from the front. Finally,the PDW.....HATED IT!! I feel that the PDW is way under powered. Burning through a whole clip just to kill one guy is a little ridiculous and it does not have very good range either. It is what I will call a Belly Gun. Charge up to your opponent, shove the gun into his belly, pull the trigger and hope you kill him before he kills you.
Now that I've unlocked the M416, I am more into the Assault, however when I first started I found the Sniping the easiest class to start with.
I just unlocked the 416 the other day. AWESOME!! I love this rifle to pieces. My beloved SCAR from BF3's version in BF4 not so much. Bums me out. I just unlocked all the support weapons (except the RPK74) and they all rock.I feel that the MG4 and the M240 are duking it out to become my fav carry piece. But of course there will always be a special place in my heart for the M249 SAW. Pistols I am still kinda iffy about. They only seem to be good up close and the drop of the bullet at distance is difficult to gauge. I also unlocked the JNG-90 yesterday..........AWESOME!!! I believe I will keep working on the Recon class now. I really want to get my hands on the .338 sniper rifle. I love one shot kills in any game!!
